The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) is a tax credit for people who have earned income in 2007 under $37,783. A tax credit usually means more money in your pocket. It reduces the amount of tax you owe. EITC may even result in a refund. Below are the specifics about EITC. You can also take an EITC questionnaire offered by BeehiveMiami.org that will help you determine whether you qualify for EITC. Just click here. If you lived with one child in 2007 and your family earned less than $33,241 ($35,241 married filing jointly), you can get up to $2,853.
If you lived with two or more children in 2007 and your family earned less than $37,783 ($39,783 married filing jointly)*, you can get up to $4,716.
